We're a multi-generational, multi-style church with one message of God's great life.

We are committed to building a multi-generational, team based ministry with people who are accountable to God, and each other.

Life in the Family
Connecting with God and His family.
The plan of discipleship at SLC is modeled on the Great Commission, found in Matthew 28.19. Jesus commands us to make disciples of all people, baptizing them, teaching them, and training them. Discipleship is an ongoing, natural, participative process that engages everyone from our Lead Pastor to our youngest attenders.
Discipleship at SLC is based on connecting people to each other, so that they can grow in their walk with Christ, and learn to support and serve one another on the journey of faith. Discipleship is not just focused on those that currently attend SLC. Our goal is to have influence in our community that helps people personally connect to the Gospel of Jesus Christ—an encounter that changes our lives forever.
There are many opportunities at SLC for you to participate in the process of discipleship. We have discipleship for kids, parents, grandparents, singles, young adults, youth, and everyone in between. Life Groups form the heart of the process of discipleship, and everyone who attends SLC is encouraged to join a Life Group. On Wednesday evenings, we host Royal Rangers, MPact, and Life Training opportunities for adults. Wednesday night Life Training opportunities include King's Cross (A Study of the Gospel of Mark), Financial Peace University, and New Life. All Wednesday Life Training begins at 7:00PM. Ladies' Bible Study is also offered on Tuesdays at 9:30AM and 7:00PM

We encourage each person that attends SLC to join a Life Group. Life Groups are sermon-based discussion groups that meet weekly in multiple locations around Pierce County. The goal of Life Groups is to allow our faith community to connect to each other during the course of their “real lives”, and not just on Sundays in one of our venues.
Life Groups give our community opportunities for discussion and growth as we all reflect on and learn to apply the principles of Scripture taught in the Sunday morning messages. Most Life Groups are hosted in homes, but can be hosted anywhere you are able to find space to share your lives together. Our group hosts are a diverse group of people from all walks of life. They share one common goal—helping others to connect to each other so that they can grow in their walk with Christ.
Life Groups @ SLC is at the heart of our discipleship plan, and we invite you to come and experience it for yourself. Contact Pastor Jason, Discipleship Pastor if you'd like to get connected with a group. We look forward to helping you and your family to connect, grow, and serve!
Paul's letter to the Galatian church describes the tension between salvation by faith and salvation by works. Christ-followers can learn a great deal from the way Paul presents the power of the Gospel, and the fruit that grows out of genuine faith in Jesus Christ.
This class is a Bible-based, video-driven group study that teaches people to beat debt, build wealth and give like never before. Cost is $100.
The idea is simply this—God is real and you can know Him. Each week we'll walk through a different topic and uncover timely biblical truths that you can begin to apply in your life right away.
First Impressions @ SLC is about what you see and feel when you come onto our campus and into one of our venue services. We want to create an environment that feels inviting, comfortable and accessible. We want guests to feel welcome and be able to find their way around the campus.
Discover SLC, a newcomers reception is held every few weeks to give opportunity for people to get more information about SLC and meet the staff and ministry leaders. Everyone at SLC is encouraged to find a place to engage with others—meeting in a small home group, serving together in ministry or attending a discipleship class.
The “first impression” that people have of Sound Life Church (our campus and the people they meet) usually determines their response and opinion about church, God and the people of God. We want to set an atmosphere that creates a very welcoming and positive experience for guests.
There are many opportunities to get connected. Serve as a part of the parking lot security team, the front door Welcome Team, the venue ushers, or guest hospitality—making coffee or preparation for new guest receptions. Contact Tina Carpenter or call the SLC office at 253.531.1412.
